Platform Extension in Bern

The platform extension at the Bern station of the future is a major infrastructure project that will make the station fit for increasing passenger numbers. A key constituent of the extension is the steel construction, involving the use of beams from Peiner Träger GmbH. hey provide the necessary structural strength and stability to safely support the extended platforms. Thanks to the precise workmanship, they enable efficient construction that can withstand both static and dynamic loads.

GLP Europe

The real estate company GLP Europe, which operates in Europe, is clearly focusing on reducing CO2-emissions and thus improving the overall balance of its buildings when expanding its portfolio.

For the new construction of a logistics hall in Lelystad in the Netherlands, this was achieved with the help of beams made of SALCOS® structural steel. The steel construction company IQstaal B.V. created an impressive steel structure covering around 38,000 square meters, which not only meets the high quality standards but also the requirements for a future-oriented and resource-saving construction method.

„Rio–Andirrío" Bridge

This suspension bridge was named after former Greek Prime Minister Harilaos Trikoupis. It connects the western Greek mainland at Patras with the Peloponnese peninsula. The bridge measures 2,880 metres in length, making it one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world. Instead of the previous 40-minute ferry transfer time, the crossing takes just five minutes. The structure's location has been specifically chosen to ensure it can withstand earthquakes measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale.

Approximately 9.000 tons of sheet metal from Ilsenburg were utilised in the construction of the suspension bridge.

New SC Freiburg Stadium

To realise the facade construction that dominates the design, Mannesmann Line Pipe supplied around 530 tons of HFI-welded steel pipes. These play an important role in structural stability and are certainly the decisive design element in the external appearance of the new stadium. "The key factor in our success was our unbeatable lengths of 18 meters, which eliminate the need to cut the visually dominant facade supports," says Thomas Reinhardt, who oversaw the project on behalf of Mannesmann Line Pipe in collaboration with Bernd Hollaender from the pipe dealer ProPipe in Willich. The pipes, manufactured in S355J2H steel grade, were produced in dimensions of 406.4 × 20.0 mm in 18-metre lengths and 406.4 × 25.0 mm in 10.7-metre lengths, in accordance with the manufacturing standard EN 10210. Delivery of the items was completed to Stahl- und Anlagenbau Schädlich GmbH in Stützengrün as requested.

Exhibition hall in Nuremberg

The exhibition hall in Nuremberg is characterized by its sophisticated steel construction, which allows a spacious and open room design. The beams from Peiner Träger GmbH form the structural backbone of the hall and ensure optimum load distribution, so that wide-span, column-free areas could be realized.

By using our high-quality steel profiles, it was possible to create a modern, functional architecture that meets the requirements of flexible trade fair events.

Das Green Steel Home

The Green Steel Home is an innovative living concept that combines sustainability and modern construction methods. It is based on a self-supporting steel construction that allows maximum flexibility in interior design.

The use of SALCOS® Structural Steel significantly reduces the building's carbon footprint. The combination of steel and prefabricated external panels enables a fast and efficient construction method that is both environmental friendly and economical. The concept also offers high energy efficiency, due to the integration of modern insulation materials and sustainable heating systems.

CopenHill

The Amager Bakke waste incineration plant, also known as CopenHill, is an imposing building in Copenhagen. In addition to its function as an energy-efficient waste recycling plant, which converts 400,000 tons of waste into electricity and district heating every year, it has a unique ski slope on its roof.

The construction is made of a stable steel structure in which beams from Peiner Träger GmbH plays a key role. Our beams provide the necessary structural stability and strength to support the ski slope and the world's highest artificial climbing wall with a height of 85 meters.
